We are currently accepting online submissions for the 

ArtSceneToday International Art Competition

Our juried themed art competitions recognize excellence in the visual arts among emerging artists from around the world. Artists who are selected as finalists benefit from exposure in ongoing online exhibition and profile pages on  And rather than going into a black hole, all entries are featured on our homepage slideshowduring the entire call for entry period.

 Fall 2014 Competition Theme:

Fire Beneath the Ice

Art that reveals hidden stories and the duality of all beings.


DEADLINE:  Monday, December 15, 2014 
ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all artists 18 and over from around the world  with original works that address the theme. 
ENTRY FEE:  $15 for one (1) image.  $5 for each additional image.
JUROR:  Lawren Alice, artist/curator of Arch Enemy Arts Gallery
AWARDS:   ALL ENTIRES will be exhibited on the homepage slideshow throughout the duration of the competition (the sooner you enter the sooner your artwork is shown).

The 1st Place winner will get an Art Scene Today designed website for 1 year and be the Featured Artist on the homepage for 4 weeks with a Profile Page.

2nd Place winner will be a Featured Artist on the homepage for 4 weeks.

3rd Place winner will be a Featured Artist on the homepage for 3 weeks.

All winners profile pages will remain on the site indefinitely.

All selected entries will be included in the Art Scene Today online Exhibition and appear on our Facebook page and email blasts.

improve your chances of winning...

Most artwork is rejected because artists don't follow instructions OR submit work that doesn't apply to the theme! 

So do your homework...

  1. Read the call for entries and prospectus.
  2. Understand the theme to ensure that your artwork applies.
  3. Only enter professional images or photos that look professionally done: high resolution, in-focus, no frames, no extraneous items in front/next to/behind artwork, proper lighting without flash reflection.
  4. Title the file as requested - with tens or hundreds of entries it makes it easier to be reviewed and correctly attributed.
