We are currently accepting online submissions for the 

ArtSceneToday International Art Competition

Our juried themed art competitions recognize excellence in the visual arts among emerging artists from around the world. Artists who are selected as finalists benefit from exposure in ongoing online exhibition and profile pages on artcenetoday.com.  And rather than going into a black hole, all entries are featured on our homepage slideshowduring the entire call for entry period.

 Winter 2012 Competition Theme:  

WOMANifesto

Art by Women in the 21st Century

 An exploration of the perspective that women bring to art,
 in this current, post-feminist era. 
 
 
 
ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all artists 18 and over from around the world  with original works in any medium that addresses the theme. 
 
ENTRY FEE:  $15 for one (1) image.  $5 for each additional image.
 
JUROR:   Victoria Bennett, artist and curator, Rae & Bennett Gallery, Melbourne, Australia.
 
AWARDS:   ALL ENTIRES will be exhibited on the homepage slideshow throughout the duration of the competition (the sooner you enter the sooner your artwork is shown).
 
WINNERS & FINALISTS will be featured in the ArtScenetoday.com Exhibition Catalogue, and the ongoing Juried Exhibition section, plus appear in our Facebook page and email blasts. 
 
Additionally:
  • -The 1st Place winning entry will be used as the front cover of the ArtSceneToday.com Exhibition Catalogue; be  featured on homepage for 4 weeks and have an ongoing Profile Page.

  • -2nd Place winning entry will be used on the back cover of the ArtSceneToday.com Catalogue; be  Featured on homepage for 4 weeks and have an ongoing Profile Page.

    improve your chances of winning...

    Most artwork is rejected because artists don't follow instructions OR submit work that doesn't apply to the theme! 

    So do your homework...

    1. Read the call for entries and prospectus.
    2. Understand the theme to ensure that your artwork applies.
    3. Only enter professional images or photos that look professionally done: high resolution, in-focus, no frames, no extraneous items in front/next to/behind artwork, proper lighting without flash reflection.
    4. Title the file as requested - with tens or hundreds of entries it makes it easier to be reviewed and correctly attributed.
