We are currently accepting online submissions for the 

Art Scene Today International Competition

Our monthly juried competition recognizes excellence in the visual arts among emerging artists from around the world. Artists who are selected as finalists benefit from exposure in a month-long online exhibition on artscenetoday.com, in addition to the month of the competition.

We want to start out 2010 with the work you're most proud of.  Any theme, any medium, any size...just make it your absolute best.

DEADLINE:  Sunday, February 28, 2010

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all emerging artists 18 and over from around the world  with original works - painting, digital, sculpture and photography - that includes words.

ENTRY FEE:  $15 for 1 image, $5 for each additional image.

AWARDS:   

  • The 1st Place winner will be the front-cover artist on the Art Scene Today Exhibition Catalogue and be the Featured Artist on the artscenetoday.com homepage for 2 weeks
  • 2nd Place winner will be the back-cover artist in the catalogue and be a Featured Artist on the artscenetoday.com homepage for 1 week each. 
  • 3rd Place winnders will be the Featured Artist on the artscenetoday.com homepage for 1 week each. 
  • Selected entries will be included in the Art Scene Today Exhibition Catalogue and appear for 1 month in the artscenetoday.com online Juried Exhibition section, our Facebook page and email blasts.

    Most artwork is rejected because artists don't follow instructions.  So do your homework...

    1. Read the call for entries and prospectus.
    2. Understand the theme to ensure that your artwork applies.
    3. Only enter professional images or photos that look professionally done: high resolution, in-focus, no frames, no extraneous items in front/next to/behind artwork, proper lighting without flash reflection.
    4. Title the file as requested - with tens or hundreds of entries it makes it easier to be reviewed and correctly attributed.
